Canada has the right idea

So it's coming near the end of Hockey season. The Blackhawks take the first win in the Stanley Cup finals to pull ahead 1-0. What does this have to do with music? In September of 1978 Foreigner released a song called Double Vision. Because of the times and the lyrics everyone assumed that this song was about drugs and getting high. They were wrong. Go back a few months to April of 1978. The New York Rangers were playing the Buffalo Sabres in the Stanley Cup playoffs. The goalie for the Rangers, John Davidson, was hit by one of the Sabres players. Davidson had to leave the game because he had, you guessed it, double vision. All the members of Foreigner were at that game and decided to make a song out of that experience. Now that you know the origin, can you hear it in the lyrics?
