1969 The Newport Rock Festival is held in Northridge, California, with acts such as Credence Clearwater Revival, The Rascals, Ike and Tina Turner, Steppenwolf, Joe Cocker, Jethro Tull, and Jimi Hendrix. They paid each band 125,000 for their performance. 1994 The surviving Beatles members come back together to record a song called Free as a Bird. Fans were excited until they found out they were going to call themselves the Threetles. 2004 Paul McCartney plays his 3,000th concert in St Petersburg, Russia. But back in 1975 this song was #1 on the charts. It's Captain & Tennille with Love Will Keep Us Together.
