Should probably save this for midnight...

So my last post was about the great Creedence Clearwater Revival. Well this one is too... along with Johnny Cash. Sorry if you wanted something new but I had to share this amazing song! It's not played on the radio and it's probably their best song in my opinion. One of the best things about this song is that it has that story telling quality and a little bit of mystery. What is this Midnight Special? The Midnight Special is the main character's salvation in the song. The Midnight Special is a train that will deliver him from his prison chains. The main character talks about the woes of being in prison and what got him in there in the first place. The use of the train as a escape from prison has actually been used before by Country Legend Johnny Cash in the song Folsom Prison Blues. Both songs are depressing but for some reason they manage to make us happy and sing along. Check out both the songs hope you enjoy. Who said nothing good happens after Midnight?
